Now in its 8th year, Taconic Music continues to expand its presence in Manchester and the wider region, with audiences hailing from the Berkshires to Albany and beyond. We’ve gained widespread press and public attention, and hundreds of people around the world view our livestreams. Renowned musicians and dedicated young artists travel from across the U.S. and abroad for our four-week summer festival. Musicians and audience members alike enjoy the dining, shopping, gallery-hopping, and attractions the area has to offer. 

We invest in the year-round cultural life of our community through chamber music and jazz concerts, youth string instrument lessons, performances for all ages, and partnerships with Manchester Community Library, Southern Vermont Arts Center, Burr and Burton, the Inn at Manchester, and many others. This year, thanks to generous contributions from individuals and business sponsors, we are able to offer full tuition and housing scholarships to each of the nine talented young artists who will participate in our 2024 summer chamber music intensive and festival.
