The Taconic Mountains form a range of peaks and ridgelines extending from the southwestern corner of Vermont into New York and Massachusetts. A number of peaks in this region rise above 3,000 feet. Mount Equinox (3,855 ft.) in Manchester is the highest peak in the Taconics. Dorset Peak (3,804 ft.) is the second highest peak.
